December Events

wine paintingDecember 5 – Argonaut – 7-9pm | 1433 H St NE, Washington, DC 20002, 7-9pm

Argonaut is H Street’s true neighborhood gathering spot. The Argonaut is part English tavern, part San Diego taqueria, part neighborhood coffee shop…  It is known for its no-frills-yet-delicious Thursday through Sunday brunches, as well as being one of the most family-friendly restaurants in the District. If there’s a theme here, it’s all things coastal, the décor taking from a ship with globes as lanterns and a bar stocked with some really good rum.  It goes for the food, too, which is inspired by classic dishes of coastal towns like New Orleans, Nantucket, and Havana. They’ve also got some great wines, specialty drinks, and probably the largest selection of tasty and uncommon non-alcoholic beverages you’d find in a bar. Funky and fun, you can’t go wrong with a laid-back evening of good food, good drinks and good conversation at The Argonaut. Beer, wine, and cocktail specials will be available for event participants.

art all night

September 27, 2014, 7:00pm – 2:00am

Art All Night . . .

presents an eclectic evening of music, activities, and visual and performing artists. Based on a festival concept that began in Paris, Art All Night offers residents and visitors an exciting opportunity to engage with DC arts and artists.

This year, through the efforts of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH), the festival will include events throughout DuPont Circle, Shaw, North Capitol, H Street NE and Congress Heights Main Streets. Each neighborhood will host their own unique mix of artistic programming for audiences to enjoy free of charge. DCCAH hopes to build on the success of previous events that attracted audiences of up to 15,000 people in one night.

Creative Carousal will offer FREE (freestyle) painting from 6-midnight on H Street, NE.
